Community Leaders, Coaches, And Teachers Are Becoming Lither As Well As The Acceptance Of Individual Difference Of People With Disabilities Is Also Beginning To Force The Issue. The Disability Education Program Is Funded By The Australian Sports Commission. This Program Will Speed Up Change And Provide Teachers, Community Leaders, Clubs And Associations, And Coaches With The Training, Resources, Support, And Education To Assist Them In Restoring Barriers To Participation Facing People With Disabilities In Recreation, Physical Activity, And Sports.The Disability Education Program Aims To: Persuade The Attitudes Of Regular Providers To The Full Participation Of People With Disabilities In Regular Programs; Encourage The Development Of Innovative Techniques To Assist Inclusion; Provide Practical Strategies To Assist With The Inclusion Of People With Disabilities; Promote Disability Awareness And Acceptance; Provide Appropriate Acknowledgement And Accreditation For Providers In The Field; And Increase The Enjoyment Of Recreation, Sport, And Physical Activity For People With Disabilities.The Disability Education Program Operates Through National Network Of State Coordinators Who Administers State Programs In Partnership With The Australian Sports Commission. The Majority Of State Coordinators Manages A Network Of Regional Coordinators And Presenters In The Organization And Organizes Delivery Of Local Disability Education Program Courses And Modules. Since 1995, The Regional Coordinator System Has Been Doing Well With Core Of Dedicated Coordinators And Presenters Delivering The Courses Top More Than Ten Thousand People.The Disability Education Program Is A General Recreation, Physical Activity, And Sports Awareness Modular Training Program Aimed At Community Leaders, Teachers, And Sport And Recreation Club Officials And Volunteers. All Courses Of The Program Are Practical In Nature With Importance On: Learning By Doing; Interaction With People With Disabilities; Appropriate Methods Of Adapting And Modifying Regular Sports And Activities; And Avoiding Potentially Unsafe And Dangerous Practices.The Courses Of The Program Offer Opportunities For Providers To Acquire Greater Perceptive Of The Needs Of People With Disabilities, And Gain Knowledge In The Development Of Pioneering Techniques To Assist Inclusion. There Are Six Modules In The Disability Education Program Which Includes: Module 1 Count Me In, Module 2- Getting Ready For School, Module 3- Opening Doors For People With Disability, Module 4-Play By The Rules-The Disability Discrimination Act, Module 5- Understanding Disability, And Module 6- Coaching Considerations For People With Disability. Every Module Is Three Hours In Duration And Modules Can Be Combined To Make A Full Day Programs Customized To Suit Every Individual Group Needs.
