Transportation Security How Safe Are We When We Travel

Hen Hearing The Words Transportation Security, One Immediately Thinks Of The Events Of 911. Its Associated To Plane Hijacking, Terrorist Attacks And Death All Events That Are Big Enough To Garner Media Attention. But While All Of These Do Pose As A Threat To Airline Travelers, A Different Yet Just As Dangerous Event Can Also Happen In A Smaller Scale. Transportation Security Cannot Be Limited To Just Airlines Or Cruises That Travel Across The Globe. Transportation Security Is Also An Issue During A Several-kilometer Jeepney, Taxi Or Train Ride.Almost Everyday, Cellular Phones Get Snatched From Train And Jeepney Passengers. Gangs Have Now Placed Taxi Cabs And Drivers Into The Equation Of Their Modus Operandi. Even When Riding Our Own Cars, We Are Not Guaranteed To Be Safe From Carjackers. Whether It Be Robbery, Kidnapping Or Frustrated Murder, Are We Ever Really Safe When We Travel? And, It Has Not Even Been Over Some Years Since The Last Time That There Have Been Reports Of Terrorists Bombings Of Public Transportation Causing Casualties.Unlike Airports, There Is No Transportation Security Present When Taking Any Other Form Of Transportation. Although The Rail Transits Have Security Guards Checking Bags And Belongings, A Thorough Checking Cannot Be Done Because Of The Long Line Of Passengers Or The Volume Of People In The Train. Even If Every So Often, There Is A Guard Roaming The Train, This Would Not Be Effective Once The Volume Of People Makes It Unmanageable To Move Around Freely. With The Use Of Other Public Utility Vehicles Like Taxi Cabs, Jeepneys Or Buses, Once We Hail One To Get On, The Fate Of Our Belongings And Our Lives Are Not Guaranteed To Us Anymore. So What Exactly Can We Do To Improve Transportation Security? Most Government And Police Allies Especially In Some Third World Countries Have Made No Or Unobserved Moves Toward The Improvement Of Land Transportation Security. The Only Actions They Have Made Are Taking Down Police Reports After The Act Of Crime Has Been Done, Taking Notes, Making Police Sketches Of Men They Have Little Chance Of Finding. If They Do Find Who They Are Looking For, Odds Are Hes In The Middle Of Another Act. Clearly, Transportation Security Is Too Easy To Be Breached. Perhaps Due To The Large Quantity Of Vehicles On The Road Or, Whats Scary, Because No One Can Really Stop Transport Crimes.
